Liz Lee you are one lucky lady! You may live in a small town in Texas, constantly being harassed by the likes of the robot cheerleader known as Cori Cooper, but you're really luck to have Sully, Cameron, Troy, Miles, and Bryson (putting aside the possible romantic entanglements with two of those). You're a geek, but you have a geek crew. These friends you gamble with comics and a D-20 with. I envy you so much.
I grew up alone in my geek-dom for the most part. I didn't find one geeky friend until I was nineteen. Even so, we don't live close to each other and he's so busy. I can't even drive over to his house anytime I want, because now at twenty-one years old, we're both trying to develop adult lives. There's not as much time for light saber duels or anime watching anymore. I may have one geek friend, but I may as well have none. Most of my friends are the Taylor Terry to my Liz Lee.
I would really love to find geek friends, but at this late stage where do I find them and not be awkward developing a friendship? I'm not sure, but I want to try. I wanna have weekly D&D nights, light saber duels, debates on whether superman or batman is better, and all that fun geeky stuff. Am I the only lonely geek? I live in a geek capital, where is everyone?
